Students need their librarian
      We are two eighthgrade students at Lindero Canyon Middle School. We are writing out of concern due to the possible termination of the job of Mrs. Jane Lofton. The two of us believe that our school would be at a major disadvantage if we were to lose such a valuable member of the Lindero staff.

We want local farmers' market
      We've heard some really exciting news about an opportunity for a Farmers' Market to come to Agoura Hills. The Agoura Hills City Malhas expressed interest in hosting a once-a-week Farmers' Markeat their location. This is such a wonderful location, as it is actually walking distance for so many Agoura Hills residences.

'Pillars' of the community lost
      The Thousand OaksWestlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Conejo Valley recently lost three pillars of the community with the passings of Syd Hamilton, John Woodward and John Crossan. These gentlemen were longtime members of our Chamber, members of the elected board of directors and in John Crossan's case, a former chairman of the noard.

Call waiting
      Over the past six months my cellphone reception in Oak Park has deteriorated. We have four phones and they all have poor reception, especially at my home. I have spoken to Verizon Wireless numerous times. They had their technical people come out to the area and they told me that "the mountains may be interfering with the signal.

      In his defense of Patricia Standring's accusations that Republicans were responsible for 9/ 11, Rob Sack wrote "The Bush administration has been accused of unprecedented secrecy, dishonesty and dishonor." He then asks "Is Ms. Standring's position such a stretch?
