May election to decide taxes
I read a description regarding Proposition 1A recently, and nowhere did it indicate that the measure would extend the taxes recently passed by our state representatives an additional two years, for a total of four years. If that is not bad enough, the "spending limit" can be offset by additional taxes.

Interference being called
Being Agoura Hills residents, my family and I are disappointed after reading the article this past week regarding approval of the three cell towers that will be erected at Lindero Middle School. We live across the street from the middle school where we have a child enrolled. T-Mobil made their request for a city permit under very questionable circumstances.

I am writing in response to Martin J. Weisman's letter to the editor dated March 19. His quote that "bright children may not reach their potential due to unstable and/or unsupportive families" is right on. I moved here from the Coachella Valley in 1997, and my middle child, Sarah, was an "A" student.

Kudos to local grocery store
The students at Lupin Hill Elementary School recently enjoyed meeting Ed Mckillop, general manager of Albertsons of Calabasas. At the morning assembly, Principal Sheila Grady presented Mr. Mckillop with handmade thank-you notes from the children and a special award plaque.
