AHS grad Stoffel breaks Arizona saves record

Right-handed fireballer Jason Stoffel, a 2006 graduate of Agoura High, has set a new saves record at the University of Arizona.

Stoffel, named a firstteam preseason AllAmerican by Baseball America, earned his 19th career save during the Wildcats' seasonopening victory over Sacramento State in late February.

Stoffel, a junior, has five appearances on the year with a pair of saves.

His ERA stands at 2.16, and he had 13 strikeouts and no walks in his first 8.1 innings of action.
