Method Fest to give awards
Peter Bogdanovich, Tanna Frederick to be honored
      The Method Fest film festival will present special awards to Peter Bogdanovich and Tanna Frederick in a ceremony at 6 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 26 at the Pierce College Performing Arts Center, Woodland Hills. Following the awards presentation, the films selected to play in the March 26 to April 2 festival in Calabasas will be announced.

Short indy films show life in Mexico
      Two short independent films will be shown at the Topanga Peace Alliance Film Night at 7:45 p.m. Fri., March 6 at Yoga Desa in Pinetree Center, 120 Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga. Yehuda Maayan presents films that depict life in the selfsufficient Zapatista communities in Caracol, Mexico.

Submit demo for consideration
      The Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center is looking for local bands to play rock concerts on Friday nights. Stage, lighting and a P.A. system are provided for bands to play for friends, family and fans. All types of music, including solo acts, are welcomed.
