Kudos to Stephen Dorman on his insightful commentary and thorough grasp of the travails of the Calabasas football team. As a parent that has gone through six torturous years of frustration and futility, Mr. Dorman has succinctly and poignantly revealed the crux of the issue. More ... I am a longtime supporter of Calabasas High School sports in general, and my son played football at Calabasas for four years. Having just returned to town, I see in Mr. Dorman's recent Acorn article a very rational analysis of the situation with Calabasas football. The athletic directors and principals of the Marmonte League have once again put their own interests ahead of the studentathletes. Calabasas ends up being used as a pawn to protect their teams from Oaks Christian and almost guaranteed losses in the standings. More ...
