College student punished for mentioning 'God' in class
      Attorneys with the Alliance Defense Fund Center for Academic Freedom filed a lawsuit against the Los Angeles Community College Districts after a professor censored and threatened to expel a student following his presentation in a public speaking class about marriage and the Christian faith.

Compline service at Epiphany
      The Church of the Epiphany's chamber choir, the Epiphany Schola, will present a compline service at 7:30 p.m. Sun., March 1 in the sanctuary, 5450 Churchwood Drive, Oak Park. Compline has been chanted and sung by Christians for 1,500 years. Compline is an evening service of prayers, typically quiet, reflective and meditative.

      I have recently been witnessing in my own life how powerful an act of kindness can be and how much fun it can be. I take my garbage cans out to the curb every Sunday night because the trash collectors come early on Monday morning. For the past few months when I go out to the curb on Monday to put the cans back alongside my house, they are not there.
