JANN HENDRY/Acorn Newspapers NESTING INSTINCT—A great blue heron flies over Malibou Lake last Sunday carrying building supplies. The heron's flight was recorded during the 10th annual Great Backyard Bird Count sponsored by Cornell University, The National Audubon Society and Wild Birds Unlimited. All data recorded by participating volunteers will be sent to Cornell, the main clearinghouse for data on birds.
