Sheriff's Blotter Agoura Hills A burglar caused $300 in damages trying to break into a home in the 28900 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard Jan. 21. A thief stole a $2,000 laptop computer and a $30 purse from a car parked in the 30250 block of Agoura Road Jan. 21. The culprit also caused $200 in damages to the vehicle. A resident in the 3810 block of Marks Road reported Jan 19 that they were the victim of fraud. The theft occurred online where the victim's bank card information was used to make purchases without the owner's approval. Calabasas A thief stole $165 in cash and three gift cards worth $65 from a locker at Calabasas High School in the 22800 block of Mulholland Highway Jan. 27. A similar incident involving the theft of a $200 iPod, a $50 cellphone and a wallet containing $55 occurred at the high school the same day. Someone stole a $100 sign from the entrance of a building in the 5110 block of Douglas Fur Road Jan. 27. A shoplifter stole a tube of toothpaste from the Gelson's supermarket in the 22270 block of Mulholland Highway Jan. 27. A thief stole four tires and wheels valued at $4,000 from a vehicle parked at the BMW dealership in the 24500 block of Calabasas Road Jan. 26. Oak Park Police were called by the staff at Medea Creek Middle School in Oak Park on Fri., Jan. 30 to investigate possible drug use by students. No drugs were found and there were no arrests, but an investigation is continuing, said Brad Benioff, Medea Creek principal. Jewelry and a GPS system were stolen from a person's home between Dec. 24 and Jan. 23 in the 200 block of North Sabra Avenue. Westlake Village A thief stole $100 worth of medication from the bathroom of a home in the 32300 block of Lake Pleasant Drive Jan. 25. On Jan. 24, someone stole a cigarette case and money from a purse left on the bar at Bogie's nightclub on Agoura Road while the owner was dancing. Police RSS feed |
