Kick-off meeting to spotlight charities

The Keys to Survival program will be held as a part of The National Day of Service from 2 to 5 p.m. Sat., Jan. 17 at 31565 Rustic Oak Drive, Westlake Village.

The meeting will discuss how residents can participate in volunteer opportunities for three long-term sustainable projects:

•The Fair Children/Youth Foundation connects communities in Conejo and Rwanda to help genocide survivors and AIDS orphans.

•The Greater Contribution's Change Club provides micro-loans to impoverished women and local schools.

•A mentoring program helps illiterate adults.
