It looks as though somebody is following the UPS truck around and taking packages off our doorsteps. I received an Amazon.com package and found the opened, empty box on the side of the road down the street. A few days later my neighbor received a package and within a few minutes of it being delivered somebody picked it up. More ... The letter to the editor by Rebecca Arvizu on Dec. 25, 2008 contained a number of inaccuracies which should be corrected. First, no dogs froze to death in any county animal shelter. More ... A response to last week's letter titled "Both sides are at fault in Israeli-Hamas conflict" is necessary. It was eluded that there was justification for the rocket attacks from Hamas because the people of Gaza are suffering. More ... Response to "Both sides are at fault" of Jan. 8. Get your facts straight, Ms. Ahmad. Gaza has not been firing the rockets; cowardly Hamas militants hiding among its own people are firing the rockets. Israel has always been reactive, not proactive, in their fight with its neighbors. More ... Ms. Ahmad, you seem to be confusing the people of Gaza with the terrorist organization Hamas. Israel withdrew from the Gaza strip in 2005. The people of Gaza had a chance to start a new life. The border crossings were open. More ... Yes, the city is considering a new recreation center. All we have done so far is ask an independent consultant to objectively evaluate over 20 possible sites throughout Agoura Hills and we accepted the study. The study did list Forest Cove Park as the number one choice, but the study is merely the starting point in the process. More ... Our City Council has been in the planning stages of building a community center at the upper part of Forest Cove Park. While a community center could be an added asset to our community, the location selected is a major issue. It will bring increased traffic to the Oakview Ranch, Chateau Springs, and Chateau Park neighborhoods. More ... Having just survived an acute heart attack and several surgeries, this is the first chance I've had to inform the community that we have a bona fide hero in our town, Tony Cassar and the staff of Kanan Pharmacy.
