Realtors begin 2009 with glint of optimism
Top Conejo Valley agents are recognized

The Conejo Valley Association of Realtors recently held its annual awards luncheon and installation of new officers in Westlake Village. The CVAR gala also honored the outgoing 2008 officers and directors, including president Patti Hepple.
Awards were presented for outstanding service and for Realtor of the Year, which went to Allen Reznick of Aviara Real Estate in Westlake Village. Both Reznick and Glenn Scalise of Century 21 Rolling Oaks, Thousand Oaks, received the CVAR President's Award.
Joyce Corridori, a prominent local Realtor for over 30 years, was given the organization's 2008 Community Service Award.
A longtime Agoura Hills resident, Corridori served as "first lady" of Agoura Hills when her husband, Ed Corridori, was mayor in 1996, 2001, and 2005.
In addition, she served on the city of Agoura Hills Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee for 10 years, including two terms as chair; was instrumental in the initial planning of the Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Center; and currently serves on the joint powers authority that oversees the center's operations.
Corridori also has donated time Neighborhood Watch, Friends of the Library, the Agoura Youth Basketball Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Las Virgenes Homeowners Federation. A hillrise resident, Corridori currently serves as president of the Hillrise Open Space Association.
New officers for the CVAR board are Liz Puliti, presidentelect; Linda Mills, secretary/treasurer, and Patti Hepple, immediate past president.
Also on the 2009 board of directors are Kathy Courter, Tim Freund, Rick Gaviati, Mike Hanley, Chuck Lech, Alex Manos Jr., and Don Philips.
The 2009 committee chairs are Laura Berg, affiliates; Charles Lech, asset management and building; Shari LeKander, BORPAC; Linda Mills, budget and finance; Geoff Baker, bylaws; June Murray, education; Don Philips, equal opportunity and cultural diversity; Teri Pacitto, grievance; Ryan Mills, Internet/technology; Alex Manos Sr., LGR/political affairs/legislation; Deborah Montague, membership events; Barbara Radke, MLS rules sub-committee; Liz Puliti, multiple listing service; Laura Lee Anthony, professional standards; Jeff Riggs, scholarship; and Allen Reznick, strategic planning.
Founded in 1960, the Realtor association association serves more than 2,200 members with an office at 463 Pennsfield Place, Ste. 100, Thousand Oaks.
