Oak Park family seeks help from the community

Recently an Oak Park resident, Michael Abergel, was killed in a fatal car accident. He is survived by his wife and four children: two young girls ages 5 and 6, and two teenage sons ages 16 and 18.

To add to the already tragic nature of this incident, the family is in a dire financial situation. This fact, coupled with the loss of their patriarch and the current economic conditions, ensures that there are tough times ahead for his family.

Know that you will be giving to the family of a man that was kind and loved by all who crossed his path—a gentle soul who always offered a kind smile to all. He was a man that did not have a negative bone in his body. He was a father respected by his sons and adored by his daughters, who would wait in anticipation of his arrival after a day of work. He is a person who is not only a loss to his family and those who knew him, but to everyone, as he was one of those individuals who made the world a better place.
