Friendship Circle to host lectures for parents

A series of free lectures for parents of children with special needs will be presented by the Conejo Valley Friendship Circle beginning Tues., Jan. 13.

Registration is required for each lecture by calling (818) 865-2233.

•Kerri Bowers will speak at 8 p.m. Tues., Jan. 13 at 26956 Helmond Drive, Calabasas. Bowers will share "power tools" from her workbook "Mapping Transitions for Your Child's Future."

•Dr. Jim Costello, founder of the Costello Method, will speak at 8 p.m. Tues., Feb. 17 at 2524 Townsgate Road, Ste. H, Westlake Village. Costello's interactive presentation will identify physical, nutritional and mindbody methods to improve the brain's processing power.

•Dr. Brian Satt and Gilit Gat will present an interactive "parents' night out" at 8 p.m. Tues., March 17 at 30709 Whaleboat Place, Agoura Hills. Satt and Gat will teach parents how to maximize learning and communication with their children.
