Don't build recreation center at Forest Cove

I strongly urge the city leaders to cease any plans or activity to build the proposed recreation center at Forest Cove Park.

As vacant offices and auto services and near-empty hotels proliferate here we need to preserve the open spaces and parks we have, as they are.

I trust the planners can find alternate space for such a center. How about where one of those empty offices is? That huge monolith wrecking the hillside at Agoura and Reyes Adobe might have been such a site.

There isn't an off ramp in Agoura where one isn't engulfed with gas or fast food or both. Is this how the city was truly envisioned? It appears more of transient way station than the great residential community we know it to be.

That isn't why we moved here 10 years ago. Don't give into the mindless expansion and encroachment that ruined the San Fernando Valley. Randall Kennedy Agoura Hills
