Wellness Community offerings
Orientations, support groups slated

The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura has orientation meetings at 7 p.m. every Tuesday and 10 a.m. every Friday.

The orientations are open to cancer patients, survivors and their families and should be attended before participation in any of the agency's other programs. For location and information, call (805) 379-4777.

The agency has ongoing weekly support groups for those diagnosed with a brain tumor, multiple myeloma, prostate cancer, leukemia and lymphoma.

Wellness Community also offers exercise and relaxation groups in qigong (traditional Chinese exercise), yoga, tai chi, guided imagery, quilting and knitting.

Specialty groups include gatherings for children, women and Spanish speakers.
