Student needed to serve on center's governing board

The Agoura Hills/Calabasas Community Joint Powers Authority has an opening for the city of Calabasas student member position on the board of directors.

The board acts as the governing and policy making body of the authority in the operations, control, improvements and planning of the center, personnel and fiscal operations.

Student members are nonvoting members appointed to the board to advise on issues impacting the youth of the community and to gain experience while serving as a part of the governmental process.

Non-voting student members serve a one-year term.

Applicants must be residents of the city of Calabasas.The application deadline is 5 p.m. Sun., Nov. 30.
