Agoura Hills movie theater changes hands

Locally owned and family operated Regency Theatres Inc. has acquired the Agoura Hills 8 from Mann Theatres. The Agoura Hills theaters will be renamed the Regency Cinema Center.

The eightscreen cinema features both digital and THX sound. Regency will keep the programming consistent with commercial films, but will also provide a compliment of independent and foreign films similar to its sister locations in Westlake Village and Camarillo.

Additionally, the theater will host Classic Film Wednesdays with a classic film presented every Wednesday evening.

Regency will feature bargain matinees until 5 p.m. and new lower concession pricing, including $1 Eisenberg hot dogs. The concession stand will include the addition of real butter, Kernal Seasons popcorn toppings and Java City Coffee.

The theater will also offer Senior Wednesday Matinees with $5 senior citizen tickets, complimentary Java City Coffee, and $4 concession combos with popcorn, drink and candy.

Regency will also offer its Movie Passport Loyalty Program, in which guests are rewarded with a free movie after seeing five movies at any Regency Theatres location.

The Regency Agoura Hills 8 is at 29045 Agoura Road in Agoura Hills.

For 24hour movie information, call (818) 707-9966 or visit www.regencymovies.com. Tickets may be purchased online.

Based in Calabasas, Regency Theatres operates 17 locations in Southern California and one in Denver.
