Signage code enforcement

On Aug. 16 about 7:45 a.m. a code enforcement officer for the city of Calabasas driving his own personal car pulled up in front of my house and proceeded to write a warning for a car because it had magnetic signs advertising the business where the owner of the car works.

After reading the ordinance I surmised that any sign on a vehicle parked on a city-maintained street, magnetic or otherwise, unless the vehicle is registered to the business being advertised is in violation of the city's ordinance on signs. Also this same enforcement officer was seen going around the neighborhood tearing down other signs.

Is this how we want our tax dollars spent?

It seems the city's priorities are in the wrong place. Nothing seems to be done about the flyers, both political and commercial, that are put on our front doors, mail boxes and windshields, some of which end up blowing around the neighborhood.
