Chaparral to hold auction

The Chaparral Elementary School Parent Faculty Club in Calabasas is holding its ninth annual auction online.

The auction site at chaparralauction.cmarket.com opened for bidding on May 8 and will close at 11 p.m. on May 16.

Visitors to the site can preview the items for sale, including a year of valet parking at the Westfield shopping center in Topanga, a variety of summer camp programs, a weekend stay at the Luxe Hotel in Los Angeles, several local restaurant gift certificates, tickets to the "Ellen" television show, and a two-night stay with lift tickets at Mammoth.

New items are added daily.

"Going online creates a unique fundraising opportunity during this crucial time of school funding cuts to reach out to the community as well as family and friends throughout the country," said Dena Klotz, the fundraiser chair person.

The auction proceeds will benefit Chaparral's computer lab, and art, music and library programs.
