'As You Like It' at Geer theater

The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum will present William Shakespeare's "As You Like It" at 3 p.m. Sundays from June 1 through Sept. 28 at the theater, 1419 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga.

This production of "As You Like It" is set in the post-Civil Warera South. Rosalind, daughter of a banished duke, is forced to flee the court and enter the Forest of Arden, where her uncle threatens to have her killed.

Accompanied by her cousin Celia, Rosalind disguises herself as a man for safety's sake and uses the disguise to test the devotion of her admirer Orlando, who is on the run from his hostile older brother.

Herta's Roundtable Discussion will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Mon., June 23. The discussion has a separate admission price of $15.

A pre-show discussion will be at 2 p.m. Sun., July 6. Cost is included in the ticket price.

There will be no performance on Sun., Sept. 14.

Tickets are $15 to $28 for adults. Children ages 5 to 12 are $8. Children under 5 are admitted free.
