Ode to a walnut tree

This is a song, "Black Walnut," in memory of the tree taken down by the Hillel developers. Sing to the tune, "Black Water," by the Doobie Brothers.
Well, I drove thru Old Agoura on
Driver last weekend
O' missy look what I see will
bring shame
Workers half a dozen
That chainsaw's a buzzin'
Black Walnut keeps fallin' on
down just the same.

Ol' Black Walnut, they keep on
cuttin'
Nothin' I can do but write an
ode to you
Ol' Black Walnut, what waz but
now whuttin'
Thanks to Hillel your life on
earth is now through.
Ol' Black Walnut, your owner's
a glutton
We'll all rise up and see that your
legacy's due
We'll keep on shinin' your light
Gonna make everything, pretty
mama
Gonna make everything all right
And I ain't got no worry
'cause they done lit up a fury . . .
Around!

Well, if it pains, I don't care
Don't make no difference to me
Just take that car wash and shove
it uptown.
Yeah, I'd like to see you try
to build one now

We will all sure vote it down
And I'll be buyin' ev'rybody
drinks all 'roun'.

Ol' Black Walnut, they keep on
cuttin'
Nothin' I can do but write an
ode to you
Ol' Black Walnut, what waz but
now whuttin'
Thanks to Hillel your life on
earth is now through.
Ol' Black Walnut, your owner's
a glutton
We'll all rise up and see that your
legacy's due
We'll keep on shinin' your light
Gonna make everything, every
thing
Gonna make everything all right
And I ain't got no worries
there'll be many queries . . .
Lehachin!
