Explore religious and medical ethics

The Conejo Jewish Academy will host a two-part lecture series on science, Intelligent Design, religion and Jewish medical ethics at 8 p.m. Mon., May 12 and Thurs., May 15 at the academy, 30345 Canwood St., Agoura Hills.

On May 12 Dr. Arnie Gotfryd will discuss "Faith and fossils: Bones of Contention." The talk will cover Intelligent Design, creationism, and scientific discoveries that question Dawinism.

Gotfryd earned Canada's first doctorate in applied ecology and has taught a course on Faith and Science at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Michael Feinman will lecture on reproductive technology and Jewish law on May 15. Feinman is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist. Rabbi Shlomo Bistritzky will moderate the talk.

Lectures are open to the community. The fee for each talk is $12 for advanced paid reservations and $15 at the door.
