Kudos to the Youth Congress

Recently I had the good fortune of attending a Youth Congress event sponsored by the Conejo Future Foundation. Local high school students helped to organize and arrange for government dignitaries and guest speakers to discuss the political process and the importance of voting.

Many of the students are now actively involved in leadership roles in their student government. I was impressed with their knowledge, poise, and the ability to clearly express their opinions relating to our choices within the political process.

I left the Youth Congress with a strong feeling of confidence in these young women and men who might one day become our political leaders. Kudos to the Conejo Future Foundation, who each year provides an active forum for our high school students to learn and express themselves in the Youth Congress.
