Young ladies shine in Ventura County pageant

Valenzuela of Fillmore was named Junior Miss Ventura County; Soto of Thousand Oaks is Miss Teen Gold Coast; Block-Weiss of Calabasas is Miss Gold Coast; Kotchan, who attends Marymount College, is Miss Ventura County, and Karp of Simi Valley is Miss Teen Ventura County. All five will vie in August for Miss California International, Miss Teen California International or Junior Miss California in Palm Springs.
