Republican women to host legal forum

Thousand Oaks Republican Women Federated will hold a "The Law, Justice and Politics" event beginning at 5 p.m. Wed., May 7 at Westlake Inn, 32001 Agoura Road, Westlake Village.

The reception will start at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 6 p.m.

Featured panelists include candidate for Superior Court Judge Ventura County Jeff Bennett, Superior Court Judge Ventura County James Cloninger and businessman David Fernandez. The moderator is Dr. Robert Kaufman, dean of the school of public policy at Pepperdine University.

There will also be a youth panel reflecting on the recent advocacy workshop in Sacramento.

Cost is $50 per person and reservations must be received by tomorrow, Fri., May 2.
