Louisville golfers earn high ranking

For the second year in a row, seven of Louisville High School's CIF teams earned top 10 rankings in the CIFSouthern Section Academic Awards Program.

The Louisville golf team, achieving the highest average GPA among all girls' golf teams in CIF-Southern Section with enrollment under 1,500, will be honored at a pregame ceremony at the Tues., April 29 Angels baseball game at Angel Stadium.

The school's cross country team ranked second and the soccer team ranked third in the CIFSS Academic Awards Program.

Five other Louisville teams ranked high in the academic competition: softball, sixth; tennis and basketball, seventh; track, ninth; water polo, 12th.

Seven of Louisville's teams rank first among the Mission League schools and among all Catholic high schools in the CIFSS Academic Awards Program.
