Church presents classic musical

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will present Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock musical "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat" at 7:30 p.m. Fri. and Sat., April 25 and 26, as well as May 2 and 3 at 1600 Erbes Road, Thousand Oaks.

Matinee shows on Sat., April 26 and May 3 are at 3 p.m.

The show is a retelling of the story of Joseph and his 12 brothers from Genesis. The jealous brothers sell Joseph into slavery in Egypt, but Joseph interprets a dream for Pharaoh and is made a high advisor in the court.

The 80-member cast includes mostly middle and high school students. A Children's choir and live orchestra are also featured.

Chris Severn is the director and Curtis Mathews is the orchestra director.

The public is invited. There is no charge, but tickets are required by calling the ticket hotline at (805) 379-8811.
