 | | BACK IN TIME- Above, Agoura High School students Becca Hirsch, left, and Courtney Froehlig, both 17 years old, tap dance in the style of the Harlem Renaissance (an African-America cultural movement in the 1920s and early 1930s). The students put on a presentation about the Harlem Renaissance at the high school last Sunday. Right, student Hayley Frazier, 16, dances the Charleston while wearing a traditional Twenties-style flapper costume. Fifty groups of 11th grade students performed and presented their research about the New York City movement in various classrooms throughout the school. It was all part of an English class unit about the period in history. |
