Gypsies in a Trunk return

The all-volunteer troupe Gypsies in a Trunk continues its 14th season of free Fairy Tales in the Park live theater with "Shrek: Tales From the Swamp" with the characters of Shrek, Fiona and Donkey.

All familyfriendly performances are held in outdoor settings throughout Ventura County locations. Lawn seating is available at all sites. Attendees may bring blankets for sitting, lawn chairs, snacks and picnic lunches. Leave pets at home.

Performances are free to the public, but donations are appreciated. So gather up the kids, pack a picnic or snacks and enjoy free family entertainment.

Performances are as follows: May 3, 11 a.m., Foxfield Park in Westlake Village; May 3, 4 p.m., Rancho Simi Amphitheater in Rancho Simi Community Park, 1765 Royal Ave., Simi Valley; May 4, 2 p.m., Harbor View Park, Channel Islands Harbor; May 10, 11:30 a.m., Community Recreation Center, 1605 E Burnley St., Camarillo.
