Football camp coming to CHS

The Ventura County Nike SPARQ football combine will take place Sat., April 26 at Calabasas High.

Check-in time is between noon and 1 p.m. Incoming freshmen and high school players are eligible to participate in the free event.

Players are also encouraged to attend the precombine clinics conducted by SPARQ trainer Robert Steele of Atomix sports performance every Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Agoura High.

Reservations are required for each clinic.

The clinics teach players how to improve their SPARQ rating by learning the proper techniques for the 40-yard dash, shuttle drill, powerball toss and vertical jump.

Upperclassmen that show Division I potential may receive an invitation to attend the USC or Stanford Nike football camps this spring.
