Apply for animal care award

The Hogan Family Foundation announces the creation of the Lifeline 4 Paws Award that will recognize Southern California residents who had demonstrated extraordinary acts of kindness toward dogs during the year.

"The Lifeline 4 Paws Award will be given to individuals based on their commitment, compassion and courage in going above and beyond lifesaving or other difficult circumstances to help dogs throughout the area," said Christine Hogan of the foundation.

The award will include a $500 donation given to an animalrelated charity of the winner's choice. Applications may be submitted at any time with a final deadline of Thurs., Nov. 27.
