Agoura serves up free healthy picnic

The city of Agoura Hills presents the Planet Expo and Healthy Picnic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sat., April 19 at Sumac Park, 6000 Calmfield Ave., Agoura Hills. Admission is free.

Attendees may bring a blanket or beach chair to enjoy a picnic of fresh fruits, veggies, salads and sandwiches. Activities include a rock climbing wall, walking challenge, games and sports equipment. A DJ will provide music.

Other events include a bake sale to benefit Agoura Hills Relay for Life, disposal sites for electronic waste and cellphone recycling, paper shredding, trash pick up, display of Toyota hybrid vehicles and Captain Carl's Mobile Tide Pools.

The National Theatre Group will give educational performances on water conservation at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
