Zonta Club gives scholarship
Award goes to woman in business studies

Zonta Club of the Conejo Valley Area has selected Daniela Kim as 2008 Klausman Women in Business award winner.

The club presented Kim with a $400 check. She is eligible to compete for district and international awards.

Kim was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is in the process of becoming a U.S. citizen. She is studying for a Bachelor of Science in accountancy at Cal State Northridge. Her plans are to pursue graduate studies in tax law and become a certified public accountant.

Last year Kim was chosen for a summer leadership program in tax law at Ernst & Young in Los Angeles. She also serves with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program where students are trained to work as tax preparers for local residents.

Kim has also participated in the Africa Relief and Outreach program to Nigeria and Ghana through the University of the Nations.

She is on the university's dean's list and a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and Beta Gamma Sigma.

The Jane Klausman Women in Business Scholarship was established by a bequest by Jane M. Klausman, a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, NY. The scholarship is awarded to undergraduate women studying business who have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field.
