Residents invited to water-wise gardening classes

Water-wise gardening classes sponsored by Las Virgenes Municipal Water District will be held on four consecutive Wednesdays, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Wed., May 7 at the water district headquarters, 4232 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas.

The sessions offer live instruction, handson demonstrations, slide presentations, displays and exercises.

Classes cover basic landscape design, Californiafriendly plants, efficient irrigation systems, soil, water and fertilizers.

Classes are free and a light supper will be served. Space is limited.
