Local lacrosse update

With a 14-2 victory over Calabasas last Sunday afternoon, Agoura has closed the gap on Newbury Park in the Southern California Lacrosse Association's varsity division standings.

In routing Calabasas, Agoura (4-1) received three goals each from Mike Cammorata, Jake Lawrence and Chris Hogg.

Bryan Mandell scored twice for Calabasas (0-5).

Newbury Park, the SCLA's only undefeated team with a 4-0 record, will take on Westlake (1-3) Sunday at noon.

Calabasas does battle with Thousand Oaks (2-2) at 4 p.m. Both games will take place at Newbury Park High.
