'Othello' will play at Globe Theater

Shakespeare's "The Tragedy of Othello, the Moor of Venice" opens at 8 p.m. Fri., April 11 to complete the 2008 winter season at the Los Angeles Shakespeare Company's Globe Theater, 1909 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd., Topanga. The play will run through May 18.

The production is directed by award-winning director Joel Asher.

The Globe's 50-seat indoor theater is a Tudor-style building modeled after the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Showtimes are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays except May 4 when the Sunday Salon Chamber Music Series is presented.
