Ronald Reagan Library to step back in time at Colonial Day
Visitors can view 18th century life

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will hold its seventh annual Colonial America Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., April 12 at the library, 40 Presidential Drive, Simi Valley.

Visitors will be able to visit recreations of an 18th century town square, including a metalwork display, a Hornsmith's merchant tent, a medical display, storytelling and rag doll demonstrations, and a military camp.

Games and crafts from the era will also be featured, including rolling hoops, graces, ninepin, ball and cup, Jacob's ladder, tops, buzz saws and whirligigs.

Craft centers will include writing with quill and ink, storytelling, herbal sachetmaking, pomanders, tin punch, and 18th-century money games.

All events related to the reenactments are free and open to the public. Regular admission fees apply to view exhibits.
