Synagogue to hold service for special needs children

CELEBRATING- Brandon Kaplan practices signing the Torah for Congregation Or Ami's upcoming Shabbat service celebrating people with special needs and their families. Together with other special needs students, Brandon will lead the service and highlight the exceptional abilities of all children.
Congregation Or Ami will have a Shabbat service celebrating children with special needs at 7:30 p.m. Fri., March 28 at 26115 Mureau Road, Ste. B, Calabasas. The service is open to nonmembers and the community at large.

The synagogue has programs geared toward helping families of children with special needs and a support group for their parents. The congregation has also celebrated b'nai mitzvahs with children with autism, emotional and developmental problems, intense dyslexia and Tourette's syndrome.
