Local girl chosen for concert tour

Hannah Schechter of Calabasas has been accepted as a member of the United States Youth Ensembles 2008 European Concert Tour.

Schechter attends St. Andrew's Boarding School in Middletown, Del.

The United States Youth Ensembles were founded to emphasize the positive aspects of America's youth and the achievements of the country's music students. The program is designed to enrich the musical experience of its participants while showcasing the musical talents of students to European audiences.

The chorale, string ensemble and wind ensemble will perform seven concerts in France, Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
