St. Jude's holds open house

St. Jude's Catholic Church in Westlake Village will host an open house from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sun., April 6 at the church, 32032 W. Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village.

Visitors may take a selfguided tour of the church to learn the history and significance of various church objects and features. Various stations will be set up inside the church. Each station will offer detailed information about objects and artwork. Guests will receive a guidebook upon entering and may tour at their own pace. St. Jude's community members will be available to answer questions.

Families are welcome to attend, and children's activities will be available.

St. Jude's Adult Faith Formation Team developed the open house as a means to welcome and educate residents about sacred aspects of the physical church and Catholic practices.

Refreshments will be served outside the church. Information will be available regarding ministries and activities within the parish, including the Welcome Back Catholics program which reaches out to "fallen-away" Catholics who are thinking about returning to practicing their faith.
