St. Max program develops job skills

If you are currently in the job market and even if you have a powerful résumé, don't miss the next meeting of the St. Maximilian Employment Ministry at 7 p.m., Thurs. March 27 in Room 2 at St. Maximilian Catholic Church, 5801 Kanan Road, (corner of Lindero Canyon Road), Westlake Village, 91362.

Attendance at the meeting will help equip you with the necessary interview skills. A panel of human resources professionals will conduct mock interviews and offer suggestions on how to make a lasting first impression.

The interview is where all your preparation comes to fruition. Your résumé helped to get you the interview, but you can't rely on it to get you the job. The résumé was only a brief summary of your experience, education, skills and accomplishments. Your research and due diligence will prepare you, but it is the interview that will get you the job. Here's a chance to rehearse the interview process and build your confidence.

All people are welcome and are invited to bring their questions, ideas and suggestions. Bring your résumé and a job description that interests you.
