Lots of love I would like to thank Mark Medcalf and the entire Seven Oaks staff for their generous donation to the Universal Love Foundation. It is not often that one sees a business which takes such pride in their community. Several years ago Mark and his staff implemented a program to provide donations to local charities in lieu of sending gifts to friends and colleagues. Every year around the holidays Mark and his staff choose several charitable organizations that rely solely on outside sources to provide services to those in need. This year the staff was happy to give funds to Many Mansions, Universal Love Foundation and the Conejo Valley Women's Resource Center. We at ULF are very proud to be chosen to receive this generous donation. Universal Love Foundation was founded in 2000 to connect single parents with existing support services. Today, as we embark on an expansion in direct response to the needs of single parents, support from our local community is more vital than ever. After working with single-parent families for years, we saw that grief and loss were at the root of their emotional, psychological and financial difficulties. But now there is hope--there is House of Hope. In late 2007, Universal Love Foundation opened House of Hope Grief and Loss Center in Agoura Hills. House of Hope offers a lifeline for grieving adults, children and families from Ventura to Los Angeles. Free weekly support groups are led by trained grief facilitators who offer the bereaved compassionate support and vital validation. Mark and the Seven Oaks staff, we are happy and grateful to have a business such as yourself in our community and thank you again for your support and generosity to local charities. |
