Sensational spring just around the corner

GREEN DAY--The first day of spring is Thurs., March 20. Also known as the vernal equinox, it is the time when the sun is directly above the equator and all of the Northern Hemisphere experiences equally long days and nights. Locally, the bountiful winter rains will lead to colorful blooms and a resurgence of wildlife. It promises to be a wonderful season and will give hikers and bikers a glimpse of Mother Nature in all her glory.
