Author comes to West Hills

The New JCC at Milken will present a "Meet the Author" evening at 7 p.m. Wed., April 2 at 22622 Vanowen Street, West Hills.

The guest will be Alice Rene, who will discuss her book "Becoming Alice." The book is a coming-of-age memoir about Rene's family's escape from Nazi-occupied Austria to Riga, Latvia, and, ultimately, Portland, Oregon.

Books will be available for purchase and signing.
