Water district extends contract

Las Virgenes Municipal Water District general manager John Mundy and facilities manager Scott Harris recently presented Villa Esperanza Services with an extension of Villa's service contract for landscape maintenance through 2008.

Clients in the Villa Esperanza Services Employment Program work Monday through Friday at facilities the water district operates in Malibu Canyon, Calabasas and Westlake Village. Supervised by a Villa coach trained in landscaping, each of the crew members trim, rake, prune, repair irrigation and perform other duties involved in the maintenance of the facilities.

Serving more than 1,000 individuals in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, Villa Esperanza Services is a nonprofit organization devoted to the care and education of a diverse disabled population of children, adults and seniors.
