Resident mourns 'dead' mailbox

LESLIE HAUKOOS/Acorn Newspapers REST IN PIECES- A mailbox struck by a vehicle lies in ruins near the intersection of Country Glen and Jim Bowie roads in Agoura Hills. To warn motorists about the dangers of speeding in the neighborhood, resident Rudy C'Dealva posted a "slow down" sign near the bloodied mailbox and put up flowers and a flag. What seemed at first to be a hit-and-run mystery was solved when a pool man working in the area admitted to hitting the mailbox with his vehicle, C'Dealva said. Residents have complained about the local speeding for some time.
