Sign up kids for kindergarten

Registration for the August kindergarten classes in the Las Virgenes Unified School District will be between 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. weekdays beginning Wed., April 2 at all eight elementary schools.

Registration for students entering grades 1 through 5 will start Mon., April 7.

Information sheets and parent check lists, which describe the documents needed for registration, are available at all elementary schools.

The following documents are required for registration: proof of birth that the child was born on or before Dec. 2, 2003, proof of immunization, proof of completed Mantoux test, report of health and dental exam, and two proofs of residence. Gas, water and electric bills are the only acceptable utility proofs of residence. Driver's license and telephone bills are not accepted as proofs of residence.
