Safety Day, job fair in Agoura

The city of Agoura Hills Department of Community Services will sponsor two events for Sat., March 8.

•The inaugural Public Safety Day and 18th annual Bike Rodeo will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lindero Canyon Middle School, 5844 Larboard Lane in Agoura Hills. Public Safety Day is a celebration that promotes awareness about public safety in the community. Local organizations such as the fire department, police department, Agoura Cycle and McCormick Ambulance will have interactive activities.

The Bike Rodeo is for children ages 6 to 14 and is designed to make sure local children's bikes are properly fitted and maintained, to test safe bicycle operation and proper helmet use.

•A job fair is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at the recreation center at 30610 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Open interviews will be held for the positions of recreation leader and camp director. Applicants should bring three professional references and a filled out application. A resume is optional. Interviews will take approximately 20 minutes.
