Panel Of Veterans Convened On The Topic Of Tough Market Strategies

The Education Committee of Aviara Real Estate in Westlake Village convened a panel of veterans on the topic of tough market strategies. Panelists included Marilyn Dunn-Tornell with 40 years in Real Estate, Paul DuRoss with 22 years, Chuck Weiland with 30 years and Mike Plisky with 20 years.

Panel Moderator, Joy Reznick, Chairperson of the Aviara Education Matrix, reminded the audience of the adage, which points out that 10% of all agents account for 90% of the business and the fact this is a panel made up of agents from that 10%. The panelists shared their tools of the trade that they implement to elevate themselves to the top of the field.

Paul DuRoss pointed out that one of his tough market strategy points is "belonging to Aviara. The volume of real estate being sold at Aviara is second to none in the industry." stated DuRoss.

As an investor based agent, Mike Plisky brought forth that his investor buyers get first look at newly available listings through Aviara's Preforeclosure, Corporate and REO accounts along with its high listing co-agents inventory. To continue the 20 year span of repeat clientele, he emphasized the need for his buyers to "secure the best available properties in the marketplace." His move to Aviara has been instrumental in getting exposure for his high volume of listings and finding the buyers' foothold in better priced inventory.

Marilyn Dunn-Tornell brought forth the strong commitment to a profession standard that her 40 year career has followed. Her well responded points included that there is a silver lining in today's market cycle, where properties have taken a dip in values. "Families are being united again here in the Conejo Valley. My clients' children can now find home ownership in their grasp whereas two years ago, they could not."

Through all the ups, downs and different cycles, Chuck Weiland has remained steadfast in his commitment to his clients' financial future. His client base has built their wealth on his skills and timing. His foresight to a changing market has protected his buyers to ensure the best solid purchase and direct his sellers to hold and sell at the appropriate times. Weiland's wealth building strategy is now paying off for a new generation because of "good, solid purchases and precision advice timing, which is the foundation of my business," panelist Weiland made note.

Moderator Joy Reznick, noted all panelists have a series of common threads; perseverance, a strong work ethic, the ability to adapt quickly to change, and a commitment to their professional standard.

"This committee is steadfast bringing forth the best in education available to Aviara," says Reznick. "We are in stride with our motto of this Matrix Committee, 'Educate, Innovate, and Collaborate' and we find Aviara itself is the ultimate tough market strategy for success of our clientele. We are selling real estate in this company because with over 100 agents strong, we have strategies in line and on time to greatly enhance our buyers and sellers opportunities."
