Lindero Canyon hosts FiddleFest

The award-winning orchestra program at Lindero Canyon Middle School presents the annual FiddleFest at 7:30 p.m. Wed., March 5 in the school's Steven Capretta Memorial Gymnasium, 5844 Larboard Lane, Agoura Hills.

The program spans many styles, including Bach, bluegrass, pop classics and rock.

Performers include student soloists and three school orchestras: Beginning Strings, Concert Choir and Concert Orchestra.

Eklektikos, an alternative styles ensemble, will perform fiddle music while the Cellissimo ensemble plays music for cello.

Guest performers include the Lupin Hills Fabulous Fiddlers (third, fourth and fifth graders) and a new group known as ESQ, the Electric String Quintet, which focuses on rock.

Tickets are $5 available at the door.
